The Razor E100 Electric Scooter: Great First Choice

The Razor E100 is a solid performer for the smaller or younger rider. Officially listed as designed for 8-12 yr olds, many users this electric scooter is a great introduction to powered riding or for light duty use.
For some, it may be their first scooter. Others may find it meets all their needs, now and in the future. If you are looking for an electric scooter for adults then go to our collections page.

Larger riders and more experienced operators who want higher performance may be better served with other models, such as the E200 or the E300. But for younger or smaller kids, the E100 could be a fine choice.

The E100 is available in four attractive designs. You can get this electric scooter in Pink, Red, Sweet Pea, or Blue (although this color is exclusive to Amazon.com).

As with most Razor age recommendations, they tend to run a little high. A properly trained, equipped, and supervised 6 or 7 year old could handle this if they're ready. As always, use your best judgment.

No matter which design you choose, you'll get a high quality, affordable scooter.

Features of the Razor E100

This kid-friendly scooter is ideal for getting around the neighborhood, heading over to a buddy's place, or even getting to school. It's got enough power to more than do the job, but not so much that it will easily overpower younger riders.

Things that are great about it:

Solid performance, reliable Razor quality Speed limits and size to match younger/smaller riders Easy to assemble and use, lightweight Eco-friendly electric power on the wildly popular and proven Razor scooter Adjustable handlebar to accommodate a wide range of riders Things that could be better:
Kids may outgrow it relatively quickly Users have noted that chain cover can scrape ground during sharp turns Rear wheel is non-inflatable, will wear a bit under heavy use Differences with other entry-level Razor scooters
If you're confused whether to go with the similar E125 or E175 or the E100, don't be. As far as we can tell, they're all pretty much the exact same scooter, just different names and color schemes.

It just seems that different brick-and-mortar retailers get different model names (the E175 is found at Target, etc). Amazon sells them all, but the only difference seems to be the label.

Conclusion

The Razor E100 (or the nearly-identical E125/E175) is a good choice for the younger or smaller rider. It gets you there fast enough to have fun, but not fast enough to be dangerous on the street or sidewalk. For some, this will be their first scooter. For others, this may be all the scooter they need.
