Beware of cheap hoverboards with Chinese batteries. These batteries are a fire hazard and are prone to over heating with reports of some of these boards catching fire. When hoverboards first hit the market they were receiving some bad press due to poor quality Chinese batteries being used in these boards. We do not use Chinese batteries and are hoverboards are 100% safe and certified.
It is important to note that we only use original Samsung CE certified batteries that are UL2272 certified. CE certs is an EU certification that indicates that the product meets certain health standard to be sold within the EU. The UL2272 cert means that the product have been tested to meet electrical and fire safety standards. Testing includes the drive train, battery and charger systems of the hoverboards.
Charging The Battery:
The batteries in our hoverboards charge very quickly, usually between 1 - 2 hours. We highly recommend that you do not leave the battery plugged in charging over night. A green light will indicate when the battery is sufficiently charged and we then recommend unplugging it. We also recommend not leaving the battery charging unattended and recommend only charging it for the needed time period of 1 - 2 hours.
You can rest assured that we are buying from suppliers within the EU to ensure that these standards are met and you can shop with peace of mind of this knowledge. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us via the contact form on the contact us page.
We do recommend that riders use appropriate protective equipment when using the hoverboards.
